Join me for a Day of Health and Yoga
Satsang - Saturday 28th October
As a naturopath and a yoga instructor I have combined the values of naturopathic philosophy and the principles of yoga to present this 1/2 day Satsang full of inspiring ways to cleanse, purify and create harmony within ourselves.
It is often validated to me through my clinic practice that you can not just treat the one aspect of self but rather look at all aspects ie…. Body (physical health), Mind (emotional stability) & Soul (spiritual values)
Why yoga for me? Yoga brings a science to understanding life. It offers the techniques and knowledge to bring yourself back to balance and to achieve health and vitality working with your own natural ability.
It’s been over 17 years since I first started practicing yoga and I have been teaching since 2011.
With a background as a naturopath each class I draw an emphasis on health, which allows students to feel empowered about their own health and wellbeing and each session is also infused with messages of mindfulness and philosophy.
My signature style is Hatha Flow and also Yin, delving deeper into the therapeutic benefits of poses. As a teacher my aim is to share the art of balance, strength and stillness within this busy world in which we live. Classes are a mixture of strong flow and a gentleness that allows for connection to that stillness.
I completed my teacher training at Yoga Vidya Gurukul India through studying traditional yoga which is the authentic form of yoga focusing on lifestyle and based on Ashtanga yoga and Hatha yoga practices.
My passion of yoga and health lead me to extend my qualifications to Yoga Therapy where I use the science behind yoga with Cleansing Techniques, Meditation, Breathing Practices, Posture and Movement combined with education of Lifestyle and Holistic Nutrition to support each individual client’s needs.
My teaching incorporates a well rounded meditative approach to assist your awakening into a deeper experience of yoga. I’m also passionate about chanting, pranayama and meditation, and teach these aspects within classes, retreats and workshops.
