Leanda Talks - Nurturing Now for the New Year
Well Christmas is just around the corner, how often do we say where did the year go? The truth is that when we take a moment to look back we will notice just how many things we achieved in the year.
It’s this time of year we forget all this because things can start to be a little chaotic, family members arriving, children on holidays, more cooking, shopping and planning and the time seems to vanish.
We then arrive at the beginning of a new year, with plenty of new year’s resolutions, and positive intentions the “yes this year i’m going to” ……..and it’s like the self empowerment button gets turned on.
But then what happens? The year goes and what we planned to do for ourselves got put aside and the business takes over. The cycle repeats.
As a holistic practitioner I hear these words all the times, “I need to put my own health first” and “I don’t ever do things for myself”
My job is to support and guide people to overcome obstacles and find solutions to their current situations, whether it be health concerns, time management, seeking deeper understandings about life and relationships, or more personal ambitions. It comes down to self-nurturing and the simple steps of having some personal goals to feel empowered in achieving these goals for ourselves.
Let’s take a moment to reflect back on your year…….
Did you get to achieve all the things you wanted to do? Are you benefiting from the results of your well planned ambitions? Can you say that you completed the tasks you set yourself?
If you have answered yes then that’s fantastic and what a great feeling of accomplishment and personal growth you must be feeling.
If you have answered no, then lets talk!
We can understand busy times will change our energies, we know that life will throw obstacles in our path but what we can find out is it is our own self that gets in our own way? Is it maybe personal patterns, self sabotage and/or procrastination that repeats cycles.
So why not plan that little further ahead, know that there is going to be a boost of energy in January and we have our wish list to be healthy, fit and motivated. Take this time to set the goals for your self nurturing year ahead but do it now.This isn’t to say not to enjoy your holidays or not to have a piece of pavlova but it’s to keep the energy building of self motivation.Keep these goals in view and see yourself progress along the way. The achievement is happening everyday and everyday has the same amount of hours in it, so you have choice on how you wish to spend them.
