Essential Oils Used for Health

By: Leanda Harmer ND, MH

Essential oils have gained incredible popularity in recent years but really they are an age-old remedy that have become popular again. Essential oils are highly concentrated non-water soluble phytochemicals that are distilled from different parts of plants like leaves, roots, flowers and other parts. They are very potent because of their high concentration of phytochemicals which are the active compounds found in plants.

Herbs and plants have been used in many cultures all over the world for thousands of years. The ability to address illness with these natural solutions is such a powerful act of using nature's medicine in its purest form.

Differences in Quality

The quality of essential oils on the market varies greatly. Essential oils can seem to be quite expensive but a high quality essential oil takes a large amount of plant material to produce and it is highly concentrated. Many inexpensive essential oils are available commercially but are altered with other oils or do not pass testing because of their inferior quality. High quality oils should be produced without chemicals and come from organic plants that grow in their natural environment and growing region.

Integrity and Purity in my Health Practice

I have been in the health industry for over 15 years and in this time have been presented many different brands and products.

I take great pride in my work ethics and choose only high standard products but also believe the companies that stand behind them should also be high integrity.

As a Naturopath and Herbalist I use botanicals for clients internally and externally for all different ailments therefore my choice of essential oils needs to be of the highest purity to support the needs of health and healing for my clients.

Why I choose Young Living oils

Young Living embraces a rigorous quality control standard to help ensure our products meet strict specifications. ‘Seed to Seal’ is their set of standards that helps ensure that with every pure essential oil and Young Living product your family uses, you’re enjoying the benefits of our global resources, industry leadership, and over two decades of innovation. The result? A pristine final product that you know has been created with conscientious Sourcing, Science, and Standards—the three pillars of Seed to Seal. These three pillars of production contain our five Seed to Seal quality control steps for delivering transformative, innovative and pure products to you.

Equal balance of Body, Mind and Soul

You will often hear me say, “you can’t treat one aspect without the other”.

There is not one consultation that I have in my practice that will not look and include all aspects of self, body, mind and soul. Essential oils are used in all these areas and when used give great therapeutic benefits to health and healing.

The difference with Young Living is that it changes your life on a spiritual level. It is a gift of nature in all its purity.

Purity comes from taking right action, from high vibrational thoughts and integrity in the delivery something that I see and feel Young Living covers all.

If you would like to know more about the uses of Young Living Essential Oils and would like to start using them in your own life then contact me today.
