Breaking Food Patterns With EFT
Roslyn Rayfield - Dietitian, EFT & Ayurvedic Practitioner
Do you find yourself repeating the same old patterns with food over and over again? Despite your best efforts to do it differently, you find that you’ve sabotaged yourself - again!
You’re not alone and you don’t have to rely on just willpower.
When you’re replying on willpower alone, it can be an uphill battle. Here’s why.
Our mind likes to create associations with the pleasure or the perceived benefits you get from eating a particular food - it could be the smell or taste, the way it looks, the sound of unwrapping the food, the physical feeling of it in your mouth or it could be a past memory of a place or situation you ate the food when you were young. For example - it’s very common to have associations between sweets, cake and other treats as a reward or for when there’s something to celebrate.
When I decided it was time for me to give up coffee, I had to do some tapping on all the aspects, especially the taste - but I wouldn’t have been able to kick the habit for good if I didn’t go deeper and figure out why I had such a desire to always have a coffee at a cafe - it wasn’t actually about the coffee, it was the social aspect of the cafe.
This is how EFT (Tapping) works. It clears the associations in our mind that keep us coming back to the same old comfortable patterns. If you would like to find out how you could use EFT to break out of an unhealthy food pattern - book in for your 15 minute Introductory session for just $15 and experience this simple but effective healing tool.
