Leanda is a registered and certified Naturopathic Doctor. She is also a qualified Medical Herbalist, Nutritionist, Ayurvedic Consultant, Yoga Teacher and Wellness Coach.

Leanda has been in the health and wellness industry for over 15 years and regularly facilitates retreats, workshops, public speaking events and provides private clinics for personal consultations. She has received higher training in yoga education and integrated medicine and has trained in a number of natural healing and energy modalities.

Walking her talk in her own life is very important to her. She keeps up to date with current developments in her field and continually grows and expands her passion in natural living.

Leanda’s areas of interest are in treating depression and anxiety, food intolerances and allergies, parasites and other gastrointestinal issues. She works strongly on the mind body connection in understanding the energy and emotions held behind all physical complaints.

Her main focus is helping people with education about staying well, learning to keep track of their health goals and monitor when their body and mind is unbalanced. Leanda feels her role is to facilitate a space to provide information, support and guidance to her clients. Her aim isn’t to treat ‘diseases’ but rather to help clients learn to heal their own underlying physical, emotional and spiritual self, effectively addressing their causes of disease.

Having an extensive background in natural health, healing, metaphysics and medical intuition Leanda’s consultations are uniquely guided to explore the deeper world of the subconscious mind. This is where ideas, thoughts and programs have been developed, some of which have been in place for their entire lives. Through awareness these thoughts can be easily shifted to reduce patterning and programming that are causing emotional and physical imbalances.

Leanda Harmer Yoga Teacher

Leanda has been practicing yoga for over 17 years and she has been teaching since 2011. Her experience in treating body alignments through massage lead her to become a yoga teacher. Now with a background as a naturopath each class Leanda teaches has an emphasis on health, which allows her students to feel empowered about their own health and wellbeing and each session is also infused with messages of mindfulness and philosophy.

Leanda’s signature style is Hatha Flow Class. She also excels in yin, delving deeper into the therapeutic benefits of poses. As a teacher Leanda aims to share the art of balancing strength and stillness within this busy world in which we live. Her classes are a mixture of strong flow and a gentleness that allows for students to connect to that stillness.

Leanda completed her teacher training at Yoga Vidya Gurukul India through studying traditional yoga which is the authentic form of yoga focusing on lifestyle and based on Ashtanga yoga and Hatha yoga practices.

Leanda continued her love of yoga and health and expanded her qualifications to include Yoga Therapy. She uses the science behind yoga with Cleansing Techniques, Meditation, Breathing Practices, Posture and Movement combined with education of Lifestyle and Holistic Nutrition to support each individual client's needs.

Leanda’s teaching incorporates a well rounded meditative approach to assist your awakening into a deeper experience of yoga. Leanda is also passionate about chanting, pranayama and meditation, and teaches these aspects within her classes, retreats and workshops.

"Looking after my body is something that I have probably neglected in the past.

Attending Yoga classes has made me aware of the importance of breath, movement and relaxation. I feel better, more relaxed to tackle the world and a bit more flexible. Thank you Leanda."
