Hatha Yoga Classes

Weekly yoga classes are held at Beerwah community hall on Monday mornings 9am and Wednesday evenings 7pm (excluding public holidays - see calendar for dates)

These classes are designed for those at beginner level and more advanced. Options are given throughout the class to suit different levels of practice. Be comfortable and wear what feels right for you.

Bring your own mat and a water bottle. Classes are best done in bare feet. Warm clothes and socks are a good idea for the cooler months and for meditation.

Each class goes for 75 minutes and includes meditation, Pranayama ( breath yoga ) Hatha and Ashtanga yoga ( postures and flow )

Common questions:

Q: I have never done yoga or meditation before?

A: Perfect! If you are reading this then there is a something you are looking for! There are many benefits that yoga and meditation can give.

The word YOGA means UNION - the most benefit you can get is to come along and see for yourself. No experience needed, just an open mind.

Q: Can I attend when I'm pregnant.

A:Yes, yoga and meditation is fantastic for pregnancy for both the mother and child. There are some Asanas ( postures) that would not be recommended so please advise the teacher when you arrive so we can accommodate you.

Q:How many people are in the class?

A:It all depends on seasons and times. In Beerwah classes, on average we hold 15 - 35 people of mixed ages and genders.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: Yoga Mat or Towel, water bottle, wear comfortable clothing, and have an open mind.

Q: Can I bring my Child?

A: As yoga is beneficial for children these classes are more designed for Adults. Certain Positions are not suitable for children under the age of 15.

We do not have creche facilities and out of respect for everyone attending we ask that we have no onlookers.

Q: How do I pay

A: Cash at the door or EFT is available anytime at the shop. You can also pay for multiple session at once

Q: Are classes held on public holiday and School holidays

A: Classes will not be on any public holiday. Beerwah classes will have a small break in the winter.
